Mankind, fighting bacteria and viruses with the help of medicines, sought to destroy them, affecting the conditions of their life, metabolic mechanisms, and genetic structure. The advances in medicine made it possible to talk about the complete eradication of many diseases. However, according to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, over the past decade, from 27.3 to 41.2 million cases of viral infections have been registered in Russia annually, from which up to 3,000 people die. It has been established that in 1 m3 of air in a city apartment there are up to 20 thousand microbes, in a car - up to 9 million, and in a suburban forest in 1 m3 of air there are only 5. The forest fights against the dominance of bacteria by spraying ultradispersed aerosols of essential oils. And the properties of the essential oils themselves have been known to mankind for millennia. The use of essential oils expands the adaptive capabilities of a person, increases the body's resistance to the effects of adverse environmental factors. Pathogenic microorganisms, even with prolonged contact with essential oils, do not develop resistance to them (as to many chemicals, including antibiotics).
Sprayer "EFA" is successfully used for effective sanitation of premises from pathogenic bacteria and viruses, including the fight against nosocomial infections. The device is convenient, reliable and easy to maintain.
The peculiarity of the "EFA" device is that it allows the prevention and treatment of many diseases with natural substances (essential oils), which, unlike many drugs, have no side effects.
The sprayer generates an aerosol, in its physical parameters, very close to the parameters of natural aerosols of essential oils secreted by plants, which allows it to physically destroy bacteria and viruses in the surrounding atmosphere. The use of the resonance method when spraying essential oils activates its biological structures by exciting the surface of an aerosol droplet. Studies carried out at the Central Scientific Research Laboratory of the SSMU have shown the high efficiency of using the inhaler for the rehabilitation of premises in comparison with the usual method - quartzing. At the same time, a significant effect of prolongation of the action of essential oils and a greater depth of aerosol implantation into the walls and materials of the room were noted, which significantly increases the efficiency of the result of processing the premises.
Specialists of the Institute of Health of the SSMU and the Research Institute of Mental Health of the TSC SB RAMS carried out comprehensive studies of the effect of collective aromatherapy using the "EFA" device in conditions of decreased immunity against the background of a stress factor. The positive effects of the influence of aromatherapy on the correction of conditions associated with immune disorders, on the increase in mental and business activity have been established.
At present, methods for physicians on dispersive atomization of essential oils have been approved to solve the following problems:
Correcting the level of health and immunity; renovation of premises in higher educational institutions; correction and prevention of dependent conditions (smoking, alcoholism, substance abuse, etc.).
The most successful application of essential oils with the help of the "EFA" device in the following conditions: mental fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia, neurosis, sexual problems, aggression, isolation, memory loss, stress, pain of various localization, slagging of the body, threat of an epidemic, weakening immunity.
Spraying is recommended after preliminary ventilation of the room. To spray oils, it is necessary to apply 1-2 drops of essential oil (~ 30-60 mg) to the surface of the emitter. In this case, the required spray rate is 1 drop per room with an area of 10 m3. The duration of an aromatherapy session is 60 - 90 minutes.
